Both varieties of Muria Honey have been selected from more than 12,600 references submitted to the 2018 edition of this international award organized by The Guild of Fine Food

El Perelló (Tarragona), September 2018 The organic Muria Raw Heather and Orange Honey varieties (www.mielmuria.com) have been awarded in the Great Taste Awards 2018, with two stars and one star over three, respectively.

The award was given on the 2nd of July in London (United Kingdom) and the Muria varieties were selected from over 12,600 references by more than 500 judges, including food critics, from all over the world.

The Great Taste, organized by the Guild of Fine Food, is the recognized international reference point for good food and drink. The competition is considered to be the ‘Oscars’ of the world of gastronomy and the epicurean equivalent of the Booker Prize. The Great Taste logo is a guarantee and allows consumers to have confidence in the quality of the food and beverages that carry this distinction.

Winning the Great Taste is important for producers because it differentiates their products from the norm and means that consumers are assured that the products they buy have a reliable seal of approval based on good taste and not marketing. The winners are companies that care about the quality of the food and drink they produce.

Organic Raw Honey

The collection of crystallized raw honey is one of the latest beekeeping innovations of the Muria family, always in constant innovation: a limited and temporary edition (from October to May) of organic raw honey composed of eight varieties (Rosemary, Orange, Flowers, Thyme, Eucalyptus, High Mountain, Forest and Heather).

The elaboration process of Muria Bio raw honey begins with the harvesting and its subsequent and immediate resting time. With this, the honey begins its crystallization and with the delicacy of a craft work the jars are bottled manually, resulting in a completely creamy honey. Each jar of raw honey fully preserves the richness of the aromatic and tasteful landscape of the natural environment where the bees do their work.

This product is very well received because it has very little competition and many consumers who bet on the organic prefer crystallized honey.
