The “Diamond of Excellence” award is presented to Rafael Muria, president of artMuria

El Perelló (Tarragona), November 13th, 2019 – The team of the luxury honey company artMuria (www.artmuria.com) has been awarded the highest distinction that the Spanish Association of Luxury (Luxury Spain) grants annually to one of its members. 

The award ceremony took place last night, at the Muria honey headquarters in El Perelló (Tarragona), with the presence of some seventy people, including the Princess/HRH Beatrice of Orleans, honorary president of Luxury Spain, Mrs. Cristina Martín Blasi, executive president of Luxury Spain, the artMuria team and the territorial authorities: Mrs. Mª Cinta Llaó, mayor of El Perelló and the rest of the council, Mr. Xavier Pallarès, delegate of the Government of the Generalitat in Terres de l’Ebre, Mr. Angel Xifré, delegate of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of Tarragona, Mr. Ferran Grau, delegate of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of Terres de l’Ebre, Mr. Ramon Sarroca, president of the Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives of Catalonia (FCAC), Mr. Francesc Faiges, president of the Chamber of Commerce of Tortosa, the vice president of the Chamber and all members of the plenary and Mr. Jordi Ciuraneta, president of PIMEC Tarragona.

The Princess/HRH Beatrice of Orleans, honorary president of Luxury Spain, presented Rafael Muria, president of artMuria, with the “Diamond of Excellence” award in recognition of a long career in the food sector, for his hard work, commemorating the excellence and know-how of the artMuria brand, a product positioned amongst the great brands of food and located within the product portfolio of the best Gourmet establishments in the world.

The Muria honey team launched its artMuria luxury honey range in 2014. Four varieties of honey (Orange, Rosemary, High Mountain and Forest) of excellent quality, which triplicates the pollen levels of normal honey and are currently exported to over 15 countries.

During the act, Xavier Pallarès, delegate of the Government of the Generalidad in Terres de l’Ebre, highlighted that artMuria is the example of a family business that has managed to place Terres de l’Ebre in the world“. The event was also attended by the president of PIMEC Tarragona, Jordi Ciuraneta, who indicated that “it is a great satisfaction to have companies of this quality and excellence located in our territory, which may be small but that due to their eagerness to improve and innovate may become a reference“. 

Ramon Sarroca, president of the Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives of Catalonia (FCAC), who attended the event, highlighted the “capacity of artMuria to offer consumers a quality product and a whole world of sensations”. Taking advantage of the occasion, artMuria made the presentation of a new product, the “artMuria & Caviaroli Caviar honey”, the result of the synergy between both prestigious brands that both belong to Luxury Spain.

Those attending the event had the pleasure of tasting the culinary excellence of the honey chef, Rafel Muria, and receiving the gift of a case of orange honey with saffron from the artMuria Luxury Innova collection, awarded three stars in the London Great Taste 2019 awards.
