President Quim Torra presented the awards of the 2nd edition of the CoopCat 2018 Awards last Friday at the Filmoteca de Catalunya (Barcelona)

El Perelló (Tarragona), 18th December 2018– SAT LTDA APÍCOLA EL PERELLÓ 1363-CAT, Muria Honey (www.mielmuria.com) has been awarded with one of the fourteen CoopCat 2018 recognitions in the second edition of these awards, given by the Confederation of Cooperatives of Catalonia (CoopCat). 

The president of the Generalitat of Catalonia, Quim Torra, presented the CoopCat 2018 Awards last Friday. The event took place at the Filmoteca de Catalunya (Barcelona). Muria Honey has been awarded for their contribution to Catalan society, to cooperativism and for knowing how to transfer cooperative principles and values into daily life. 

The Awards, promoted by the Confederation of Cooperatives of Catalonia, reward the contribution to Catalan society of different cooperatives from different branches and territorial areas, as well as their cooperative history, commitment to the territory, quality employment, entrepreneurship, intercooperation and the internationalization of their projects.

The awards ceremony of the second edition of the CoopCat Awards was also attended by Chakir El Homrani, Minister of Labour, Social Affairs and Families, Álvaro Porro, Commissioner for Social Economy, Local Development and Consumption of Barcelona City Council and the presidents of the Catalan Cooperative Federations.
